About Us
"It Takes a Village"
4 Paws for Ability is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based out of Xenia, Ohio. 4 Paws breeds, trains, and places service dogs with children and veterans with disabilities. These dogs begin training the day they are born, and we as college students are lucky enough to get to be a part of that training! As trainers, we take our dogs everywhere with us so that they become familiar with all different people, surroundings, and environments that they would see as a placed service dog. We also train our dogs in basic obedience and ensure that they always behave in a respectful manner. Our end goal as volunteer trainers is to produce confident, well-behaved pups who can handle any environment.

Our Club Mission
4 Paws at UK (better known as UK 4 Paws) is a club located on UK's campus that is a source of aid, love, and fun for the volunteer trainers here. We are an extension of 4 Paws for Ability through the university program, being 1 of 14 different branches within the three hour radius of our head quarters. Our mission is to train and raise quality service dogs for children and veterans. Being a member of the club requires more responsibilities of the volunteer trainers, such as: attending monthly meetings, participating in events hosted by the officer team, and fundraising for our organization/club.
